Dr. Brown earned his medical degree from the University of the West indies, Jamaica, and conducted research at the University of Miami, FL. After volunteering in humanitarian relief efforts following the 2010 Haiti earthquake, he completed his Internal Medicine training at Jersey City Medical Center, NJ. He then worked as a cardiology hospitalist at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, NH, and completed a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at SUNY Downstate, Brooklyn, NY.
Randolph served as a general cardiologist in the position of Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, gaining significant experience in cardiac imaging. He later returned to New York for Interventional Cardiology training, where he also served as chief fellow. His interests include coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy & preventative cardiology.
With a strong background in cardiac imaging, research and emergency medicine, he is passionate about community service and volunteering. Dr. Brown is board certified in general cardiology, echocardiography, peripheral vascular ultrasound interpretation and nuclear stress imaging. He provides personalized, comprehensive care and is open to new patients as well as referrals.
Growing up in Jamaica, WI, I spent my childhood in my father’s martial arts school and gymnasium where on several occasions we delivered food to some of the inner-city areas of Kingston. Tae Kwon Do instilled the importance of health & fitness and volunteering showed me compassion. After completing medical school in Jamaica and then working in the ER in the Bahamas, I then moved to do research at the University of Miami. While there, a massive earthquake devastated Haiti and so I volunteered there as a physician on a couple of occasions. Upon completing cardiology fellowship in Brooklyn, NY, I have since returned to Florida to raise my family.
Early in my career, I recognized that the traditional healthcare system wasn’t enough to truly make a lasting impact on patients’ lives. With experience in cardiac imaging, interventional cardiology, internal medicine & emergency medicine, I now dedicate time to you and serving your health needs. I will take time to listen, understand your concerns, and then create a care plan tailored uniquely to you. We are "out of network" with all insurance plans. We do not have contracts with any commercial health insurance companies. We will gladly provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement, if requested. Unfortunately, insurance reimbursement only provides for limited interaction and consultation with physicians. (This is why many physicians only spend 5-10 minutes with their patients). We are dedicated to devoting the necessary time and attention beyond what traditional insurance dictates. Cutting ties with insurance companies allows us to provide the kind of service that you deserve.
You should keep your regular insurance for any outside imaging or lab work which may be needed. Your insurance plan should cover hospitalizations & emergency room visits.
Unfortunately, we do not accept Medicare or Tricare at this time and we can only see patients < 65 years of age. This may change in the future, so kindly add your name to our mailing list and we will update you once this policy changes.
For both Cardiology & Internal Medicine, we provide an initial consultation for all patients for an a la carte fee. For ongoing care, we offer two models of care
1. Membership. Comprehensive support where you have levels of access to Dr Brown via text messaging or phone call (in between visits). Imaging tests are discounted & follow ups are included.
2. A la carte. Choose to pay per visit, if you believe this is the right fit for you
By declining to contract with insurance companies, Dr Brown is able to provide lengthy, patient-centered appointments. He is also able to keep wait times to a minimum, provide transparent pricing, and focus on individualized, preventive care without limitations.
We provide you with a Superbill to submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. You should still maintain your health insurance benefits for testing, medications, and other preventive or acute care.
We understand that schedules change, and we’re always willing to accommodate patients in these circumstances. If you realize that you have a scheduling conflict, please contact us as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule your appointment(s).
We must be contacted at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time. If you do not contact us > 24 hrs prior to the appointment, then additional charges may apply.
Patients: You can order your own consultation at Serenity. No referral is required. If you’ve been referred by your doctor, please ask them to reach out to Dr Brown directly for expedited care
